About

Ever since the day I stayed home from grade school to watch an excavator dig a hole in my back yard for a pool, I have always had a strong interest in construction. Whether it is building kick walls with my father in our back yard, renovating kitchens and bathrooms, or constructing estate homes, I have always been enthusiastic about building.

Although a slight detour out of college took me into the finance industry as a loan officer and underwriter in residential and commercial development projects, I continued to maintain a desire to build. In 2009, my wife, Maggie, and I decided to build our first custom home in Winter Park, FL. Without any real experience, we jumped in with both feet and fell in love with the entire process. As they say, the rest is history. Over the next 10 years I worked for a customer builder in Florida, obtained my FL builders license and personally purchased and renovated 40 or so properties in and around Orlando. Somewhere in there, we decided to make a move north. Maggie, I, and our 3 children left our forever home in Winter Park and discovered the happiness of Charlottesville.

I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to work at Charlottesville Remodeling Company. The company’s core values of stewardship, eagerness, partnership, and genuineness, resonate with me personally. I want and look forward to the opportunity to show these values to our clients as we work together completing your remodel project.

When I am not remodeling with my partners at CRC, my family and I enjoy trips to various establishments in Charlottesville. Our current favorites our Merrie Mill, Pippin Hill, Petite Pois, and
C&O. We also enjoy pickleball and tennis at the Club at Glenmore. Travel is also a must – being from the Orlando area we are avid Disney fans but also enjoy weekend getaways to Charleston, SC for their art galleries and NYC for the shows – recommendations always welcome!

I look forward to meeting you and am eager to hear about your project!

About

From Army Brat to Air Force Veteran, then back to my hometown of Brooklyn, New York, my early years were always on the move. The excitement didn’t stop there when I got out of the military, as I started a family and my forever journey in raising five amazing humans. After the military and going back home to New York, life brought me to Virginia. I spent many years with the University of Virginia as Circulation Manager for The Hedgehog Review, before moving on to becoming the Business Office Manager for an Assisted Living Facility. Covid-19 hit the world, and the need for a better work-life balance with my elementary aged children took over. With over 25 years of professional experience behind me, and many more ahead, my passion continues to be helping others, and always wanting to learn.  That path brought me into this role with an amazing company which helps others by making their dream homes a reality.

When I am not at the office, running around spending time with my older adult kids, or toting my younger ones back and forth to activities, you will most definitely find me on a field somewhere coaching, playing, or watching baseball…15 years and counting with Little League and a lifetime Yankee fan. Whether career, volunteering, or family, I will continue to make dreams come true and live by the saying, “To the world you might be one person, but to one person you just might be the world.”
